Dress Code

Uniform and Dress Code Rationale
"Man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7

The school dress code is to guide students in dressing in a clean, neat, and modest fashion. New Life Christian Academy employs a standard of dress through a "uniform policy" because it best enables NLCA to meet the needs of the school and parents. The advantages to a uniform policy include but are not limited to the following:

1. Uniforms are a less expensive way to provide for a child's school clothes than conventional dress clothes.

2. In a school where all students wear uniforms, there is not the need for competition in the area of dress.

3. A uniform identifies a student with a school and allows for the fostering of school spirit.

The school dress code is a combination of uniform clothing and prescribed clothing.

Uniform Standard

God desires that we glorify Him in all things. Even in the manner in which we dress can honor God or bring shame to His name. At New Life Christian Academy, we uphold dress standards that we feel will help ensure an appearance appropriate in a Christian school.

All articles of clothing, backpacks, lunch boxes, etc. should be labeled with the student's name and grade.
